Fine Arts Photography:

Before I decided to devote my full time to the art of theatre design, I had also been preparing for a career as a fine-arts photographer. I had even exhibited a number of works at The Soho Gallery in New York City in this period of time. Although I was also accomplished in the darkroom (both B&W and color processing) I found that it was impossible to continue with this most time consuming avocation while working as a theatre designer.

With the advent of digital photography, however, I was freed both from the darkroom as well as from the studio. I have since taken well over 10,000 research photographs from around the United States (for future publication) and an equal number of photographs on stage and backstage. The following are a few examples of most recent work. I hope that you enjoy these.
