Finkelstein's Work in Print: |
Finkelstein's work as a stage photographer has been rewarded by
publication in journals and books worldwide. Photo Editors and Art Directors
value his skill at capturing the perfect moment, relationships, and
interplay of light on the subject. His edge is the fact that he is a
man of the theatre with more than 30 years professional experience in the
fields of scenery and lighting design. This background affords him a keen
sense of the characters within the dramatic context, as well as the
relationship of composition among the elements, and the ability to capture
the lighting designer's art. His understanding of the theatrical world from
within has also afforded him an excellent rapport with men and women of the
theatre both on the stage and behind the scenes. He understands the language
of performance, but also that of the designers and technicians that so
beautifully support cutting edge performance.
